Spanish Gap Year is a three-month experiential learning program that blends travel, adventure, Spanish language, and real-world professional growth. The semester begins with one month traveling Spain by train, followed by two months living in Barcelona where participants choose their pathway. The Internship Pathway offers a full-time placement focused on hands-on experience and hours that support future academic or professional goals. The Entrepreneurship Pathway combines a part-time internship with entrepreneurship labs, mentorship, Spanish classes, and a friendly Shark Tank style finale. The Special Interest Pathway is ideal for participants who prefer a mix of part-time internship, volunteering, Spanish classes, and creative courses, or a full focus on volunteering and learning. All pathways belong to one unified program and include optional college credit.
