Bruna Calsina Pla-Giribert serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona since September 2022. Bruna has extensive research experience at the CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre, where roles include Postdoctoral and Predoctoral Researcher in the Hereditary Endocrine Cancer Group, focusing on the genomic and molecular characterization of metastatic paragangliomas and pheochromocytomas. Additional experience includes work as a Jr. Research Associate at Eli Lilly and Company in oncology, and an MSc researcher at University College London, studying drug delivery mechanisms. Bruna holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, a Master of Science from UCL, and a PhD in Molecular Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Currently enrolled in an executive education program at IE Business School, Bruna is enhancing business acumen in science and technology.

The Spanish National Cancer Research Centre is a public institution of excellence committed to research, diagnosis and treatment for cancer. The CNIO currently houses 22 Research Groups, organised in 7 Scientific Programmes, plus 5 Clinical Research Unit(s) that work closely with several hospitals.
