Sarita Saraswati

Sarita Saraswati is a highly skilled researcher with extensive experience in cancer biology and pharmacology. Currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre since October 2018, Sarita focuses on the role of telomere dysfunction in renal fibrosis and cancer. Previously, as a CNIC-IPP Postdoctoral Fellow from July 2015 to September 2018, Sarita utilized various Notch genetic mouse models to investigate tumor vasculature and endothelial biology. Prior research roles include a Research Fellow at King Saud University, where Sarita studied the effects of phytochemicals on tumor angiogenesis, and a Senior Research Fellow at the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, where Sarita screened phytoconstituents for antitumor properties. Sarita's early career includes positions at The Energy and Resources Institute and the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from DIPSAR and a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Bundelkhand University.
