Eli Itah is a systems engineer at Spantree Technology Group. Eli has also worked as a software developer at Cars.com and a technologist at Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis.
Eli began their career as a full stack developer at Allstate in July 2012. Eli was responsible for developing features for an express Hapi.js microsite and maintaining an isomorphic React/Redux app used on Cars.com's core shop path. During their time at Cars.com, they delivered a Smart Cache solution that addressed user personalization and increased engagement by 8%. Eli also founded the React/Redux affinity group and was active in the LGBT affinity group. In addition to their technical responsibilities, Eli also mentored new hires of all professional ranks, including through Toastmasters.
Eli left Cars.com in April 2019 to join Spantree Technology Group as a systems engineer. In their current role, they are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure.
Eli Itah graduated from Reed College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. They then attended DePaul University, where they earned a Certificate in Hadoop and a Certificate in Java Programming. Finally, Eli Itah earned their M.S. Ed. in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from Northern Illinois University.
