Rob Philipson

Rob Philipson is an experienced executive in the retail sector, currently serving as the Group Business Development Executive at SPAR South Africa since January 2017. Philipson has held significant leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer of SPAR Switzerland from February 2017 to January 2025, and Chairman of SPAR Sri Lanka. Additionally, Philipson has been involved with the Supervisory Board of SPAR Poland. Prior to these roles, Philipson had an extensive career with the Spar Group South Africa, including positions such as Managing Director of Spar KZN and Retail Operations Director. Philipson began a career in retail at Woolworths, starting as a trainee and advancing to Store Manager before transitioning to Spar.
