Research Engineer at Spare Parts 3D

Yin Yang's work experience begins in 2011 as an intern at IFREMER. They then pursued a PHD position at INRIA from November 2011 until April 2015, where they focused on investigating satellite image data assimilation methods for oceanography systems. After completing their PHD, Yin joined ENSEEIHT/Cerfacs as a Postdoctoral Researcher from September 2015 to April 2017. In this role, they developed new ensemble techniques for the NEMOVAR system. Following this, Yin worked as a Research Engineer at INRAE from October 2017 until December 2021. In this position, Yin designed and developed cutting-edge algorithms for flow visualization, and collaborated with engineers on manipulating datasets and developing benchmarks. They also implemented kernel-based machine learning methods for tracking 3D particles. Yin's most recent work experience is as a Research Engineer at Spare Parts 3D starting in March 2022.

Yin Yang completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanics from Beihang University between the years 2003 and 2008. Subsequently, Yin Yang pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Hydrodynamic and Ocean Engineering from Ecole centrale de Nantes from 2009 to 2011.
