David Blair MA FCA MBA CF

David Blair MA FCA MBA CF has a long and varied career in finance. David began their career in 1984 as a Manager at Price Waterhouse. In 1991, they joined an MBI team to acquire a niche furniture manufacturer as the Finance Director. In 1994, they founded and became the Principal of DBA Group Ltd, a Chartered Accountancy practice regulated by the ICAEW. In 2001, they became the CFO/Company Secretary of Prelude Trust plc. From 2004 to 2006, they served as the Chief Financial Officer of Cambridge Cognition Plc, where they led all financial and company secretarial aspects of a successful IPO. David also served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and CFO, and later as the Non Executive CFO. From 2006 to 2015, they were the Finance Director of Wyvern Asset Management Ltd, providing equity investment to early stage technology businesses. In 2015, they became a Consultant for Pre Pack Pool Limited and a Member of Council for ICAEW. In 2017, they became the Chief Financial Officer and Non Executive Director of Psyomics Ltd. Lastly, in 2019, they became the Chief Financial Officer and Non Executive Director of Spark EV Technology.

David Blair has an education history that includes a Master's degree from the University of Oxford in Chemistry from 1980 to 1984, a FCA from the ICAEW from 1984 to 1987, and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they have two certifications: a Regulated for a Range of Investment Business Activities from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales obtained in July 2006, and a Practicing Certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales obtained in April 1994.
