Fatima Alshami

Fatima Alshami is currently the Data Science and AI Chapter Lead and a Data Scientist at Spark New Zealand since August 2020. Prior to this role, Fatima served as a Data Scientist at Performance Lab from May 2018 to October 2019, focusing on mathematical modelling and data analysis to enhance coaching applications and core systems. The experience includes work as a Mathematical Modeller and Data Analyst, analyzing sensor data for coaching technologies. Earlier positions include a Teaching Assistant at The University of Auckland, an Assistant Product Development Engineer at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, and an Engineer Intern at Fisher & Paykel Appliances. Fatima holds a Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on Geothermal Modelling from The University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Engineering Science from the same institution, along with A-levels in Math, Physics, and Chemistry from Islamic Scientific College.
