Greg Nieuwenhuis has a diverse work experience with a focus on software development, data science, and geophysical data and modeling. Greg'smost recent role was as a Developer at Sparkgeo starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Developer (Data Science) at Farmers Edge from January 2019 to June 2022. Greg also served as a Geophysical Data and Modeling Specialist at GroundMetrics, Inc from March 2015 to December 2018. Before that, they were a Research Scientist (Project Manager) at the University of Alberta from September 2011 to February 2015. Greg started their career as a Geophysicist at WorleyParsons Komex from May 2007 to December 2008 and gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Halle-Wittenberg in 2006.
Greg Nieuwenhuis completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics at the University of Alberta from 2003 to 2007. Greg then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Geophysics from the same university, studying from 2009 to 2011.
