Edgar Chiu

Edgar Chiu is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of SparkLabs Taipei, managing day-to-day operations of the accelerator program and the seed fund. Edgar is experienced in running startups and mobile app businesses. He was the founding partner and Chief Operating Officer of Gogolook. He was responsible for developing the global partnership in Japan, Korea, the Middle East and Southeast Asia for a global caller ID service App called Whoscall. Gogolook was subsequently acquired by Naver in 2013. Later, Edgar took on the role of Founding General Manager at Camp Mobile Taiwan (a Naver-owned mobile-specific company). He oversaw the firm's business operations, led market entry strategies for the BAND app, a mobile community application that facilitates group communication. Starting his career, Edgar was a consultant in IBM’s Strategy and Transformation Practice. He strategized emerging business opportunities and new market planning consultancy services for tier-one tech.
