Marcelle Huizenga

Marcelle Huizenga has a diverse range of work experience. Marcelle currently holds the position of Director, Technical Product and Customer Experience at SparkMeter, where they started in September 2020. Prior to this, they were a Technical Product Leader at the same company from January 2020 to August 2020. Marcelle also held the role of Customer Operations Team Lead from December 2017 to December 2019, and started their career at SparkMeter as a Customer Operations Associate from June 2017 to November 2017.

Before joining SparkMeter, Marcelle worked at Kit Check as a Kit Check Hardware Product Manager from May 2015 to October 2016. Marcelle also had a position as a Product Development Engineer at the same company from January 2015 to May 2015.

Marcelle gained valuable experience during their time as a Logistics and Policy Intern at the U.S. Department of Energy from June 2013 to August 2013. Prior to that, they were a Human Resources Intern at the National Nuclear Security Administration from June 2011 to August 2012.

Marcelle's work experience also includes a role as a Research Assistant at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) in May 2010, as well as being a Mentor and Participant in the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS) Mentoring Program at the Naval Hospital from May 2007 to May 2009.

Marcelle Huizenga earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2014. In the same year, they also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from HEI - Hautes Etudes d'Ingénieur. Prior to their university education, Marcelle attended Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart from 2006 to 2010.
