Matt Williams, CPA

Matt Williams, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Matt started their career as a Warehouse Manager at Visions Electronics in 2004, where they managed inventory and verified incoming shipments. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as an Assistant Manager at Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group. In 2011, they joined AMR Group Limited as an Implementation Consultant, assisting architectural engineering firms in utilizing Deltek Vision software.

In the same year, they also founded Rockkit Records, a project aimed at developing business tools for the independent music industry. The project received funding and ended in 2013. From 2011 to 2013, Matt concurrently served as President at Rockkit Records.

In 2013, they became the Controller at Tagish Engineering Ltd., successfully deploying the Deltek Vantagepoint ERP software for the firm. Although their role became part-time as others took over day-to-day operations, they continued to provide oversight and guidance to the admin team.

Matt then joined AMR Consulting in 2019 as a Senior Application Consultant, working until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Sr. Finance Application Consultant at Sparkrock, starting from April 2022.

Throughout their career, Matt has demonstrated expertise in financial applications and ERP software implementation.

Matt Williams, CPA has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Matt furthered their education by attending the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 2018 to 2020, focusing on Accounting. In addition to their formal education, Matt also obtained a certification in Supporting Workers with Disabilities from LinkedIn in May 2022.
