Laurie Tjalsma has extensive experience in community relations and marketing, having worked with Sparrow Health System since 1998 in multiple capacities, including Community Relations and Marketing Manager for Sparrow Ionia Hospital. In addition to this role, Laurie has been an Ambassador for the Ionia Chamber of Commerce since 1998, reflecting a strong commitment to community engagement. Prior to these positions, Laurie was a Marketing Support Representative at Van Belkum Business Systems from 1991 to 1997, a Realtor and Sales professional at Furton Hoppough Real Estate from 1986 to 1991, and a Customer Support Representative at VanBelkum & Faulkner from 1980 to 1986. Laurie pursued education at Grand Rapids Community College and Aquinas College in Grand Rapids.
