Kristen Moffat

Kristen has served pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients across a range of specialty therapeutic areas including neurology, dermatology, and immunology and has worked on engagements focused on market strategy development, product forecasting, and strategic brand planning. Prior to joining Putnam, Kristen worked in the medical technology industry where she specialized in market development strategies for stem cell-based technologies. Kristen earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, B.S. in Materials Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and completed post-doctoral training at Duke University. Throughout her academic career, Kristen’s research has focused on biomaterials and biomechanics, tissue engineering, and cell-material interactions. While at Columbia University, Kristen received a National Science Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, earned dissertation distinction, and was awarded several national honors for her research including the Society For Biomaterials Achievement Award, the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine Young Investigator Award, and the Orthopaedic Research Society New Investigator Award. Kristen has authored eight peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters and has three pending patents. Kristen has also served as a consultant to biomedical-focused venture capital, business development, and investment firms.
