Spartanburg County Public Libraries
Grace Coleman has over two decades of diverse experience in library services, legal research, and banking. Since 2005, Grace has served as the Branch and Teen Programming Assistant at Spartanburg County Public Libraries, where responsibilities include developing and promoting youth programs, assisting library patrons, managing branch operations, and handling financial transactions. Earlier experience includes working as a Paralegal Assistant at Beverly Huntley, where Grace prepared legal case files, and in various roles at Bank of America and Bank One Texas, highlighting strong customer service skills and financial product expertise. Grace began professional work as a Casework Technician with the American Red Cross and later coordinated student services at the Medical University of South Carolina. Grace holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the College of Charleston.

Spartanburg’s first Library opened in 1885, 128 years ago, on Morgan Square. The Headquarters and nine branch libraries including the Bookmobile, Home Delivery and the Libraries’ online digital library meet the informational and educational needs of the County through a comprehensive slate of services. Over 90% of Spartanburg County’s population lives within 5 miles of a public library; over 1.8 million items were checked‐out; 1.5 million patrons visited the Library for services including programs, meeting rooms and reader services; and 1.1 million patrons used the Library’s online digital resources.
