Dean, Career & Student Success at Spartanburg Methodist College

Megan Georgion is the current Dean of Career & Student Success at Spartanburg Methodist College. Megan has held this position since November of 2019. Prior to their current role, Megan served as the Director of Academic Support at Sherman College of Chiropractic from February 2013 to November 2019. In this role, Megan oversaw all success coaching processes on campus and was responsible for maintaining student academic records. Megan also facilitated and directed the department’s data-informed decision-making processes, analyzed and synthesized quantitative and qualitative data, and trained staff to uphold and adhere to any applicable policy. Throughout their time at Sherman College, Megan also maintained a coaching load and conducted one-on-one meetings with assigned students to develop time management, study, and test-taking strategies.

Dr. Megan Georgion is a certified Professional Motivational Analyst and Professional Behavioral Analyst who has a Doctor of Education from Converse University, a Master of Education from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Megan also has a high school diploma from West Bladen High School. In addition, they have certification from the National Institutes of Health Office of Extramural Research in Protecting Human Research Participants, the Title IX ASAP in Title IX Investigator (Advanced), and the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) in Title IX Investigator.

Megan Georgion reports to Courtney B. Shelton, VP, Student & Professional Development & Design. They are on a team with and Temeka Brantley - Director, Project Based Learning & Involvement.
