V. Scott Taylor has extensive work experience in education, particularly in the field of science. V. Scott started their career in 2002 as a Science Teacher at Spartanburg District Six and also served as the Director of the Lincoln Science Center and Planetarium for Spartanburg County School District 6 during the same time period. In 2017, they became an Adjunct Professor at both the University of South Carolina Upstate and Furman University. V. Scott held these positions until 2019 when they joined Spartanburg School District #6 as the Director of Science.
V. Scott Taylor completed a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Education from The Citadel from 1996 to 2000. In 2003 and 2004, they pursued a Masters degree in Science Teacher Education/General Science Teacher Education from Converse University. Finally, from 2014 to 2017, V. Scott Taylor attended the University of South Carolina, where they obtained a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction.
