Clayton Maas

Clayton Maas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Supply Chain Engineering & ESG at SpartanNash, where they are responsible for corporate strategy, warehouse and transportation maintenance, waste elimination, and sustainability initiatives. Additionally, they play a key role in enterprise capital planning. Prior to this, Clayton worked as a Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Management and Technology at Davenport University, Teaching Learning Coordinator at Davenport University, and Adjunct Professor at Trine University. Clayton also gained valuable experience at Whirlpool Corporation, where they held positions such as Head of JennAir Product Marketing, M&A Integration Lead, Product Development Manager for North American Licensing, and Refrigeration Advanced Development/Gladiator Brand Launch Lead. Furthermore, Clayton worked as an Account Executive at a privately held packaging company and as a Business Development Director at TotalEnergies. At the start of their career, they served as an Engineering Intern at Innotec. Overall, Clayton Maas brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in supply chain management, marketing, education, and business development to their current role.

Clayton Maas, PMP, MBA, MS has a diverse education history. Clayton earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering from Grand Valley State University from 1997 to 2000. In 1998, they pursued Pre-engineering studies at Michigan State University for a short period. Clayton then attended Central Michigan University from 1995 to 1997 for Pre-Engineering.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Clayton obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Management with a focus on Capital Budgeting, Project Management, and Industrial Engineering. Clayton attended Western Michigan University from 2001 to 2003. Furthermore, they earned an MBA degree with a concentration in Strategic Management from Davenport University from 2006 to 2009.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Clayton Maas has acquired certifications to strengthen their professional expertise. Clayton completed the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2019. Clayton also completed the Dare to Lead Trained program offered by Dare to Lead™ Trained in 2019. Clayton also holds a Black Belt Certification (BB) acquired from ASI Taguchi, where they were instructed by Shin Taguchi himself.
