Darryl Grimes is an experienced Information Technology leader with a strong background in digital transformation and technological innovation. Currently serving as Information Technology Leader at SpartanNash since November 2020, Darryl has spearheaded initiatives that optimized internal business processes, reduced operational costs, and increased B2B sales through the adoption of modern technology stacks and cloud-based platforms. Previously, Darryl held the position of Director of Information Technology at Mill Steel Company, focusing on creating a high-performance business culture and advancing cybersecurity practices. At SpartanNash, within a span of 18 years, Darryl progressed from Web Technologies Manager to Director of IT Web Technology, where responsibilities included managing development teams and implementing agile methodologies. Early career experience includes roles as a Programmer Analyst at Herman Miller and Spartan Stores. Darryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems from Central Michigan University and an Associate in Arts from Kellogg Community College.
