Somaiah Jalal, CPA, CGA has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Accounting Assistant at MicroDental - a DTI Laboratory before moving on to Metrie in the same year, where they worked as an Accountant. At Metrie, their responsibilities included Treasury Management, Operations Accounting, Consolidated Financial Statement Production, Fixed Assets, Canadian Tax Remittances, and Corporate Insurance.
In 2014, Somaiah joined GCT Global Container Terminals Inc. as a Senior Financial Accountant, and then transitioned to Creation Technologies in 2016. At Creation Technologies, they held various roles including Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, and Treasury Manager. Somaiah'stenure at Creation Technologies lasted until April 2021.
In 2021, Somaiah joined Voices of Muslim Women Foundation as a Finance Administration Coordinator, and subsequently moved on to Spartronics as the Director of Finance.
Somaiah Jalal, CPA, CGA completed their education in a chronological order. They obtained a Financial Management Diploma in Accounting from the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2007. They then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the same institute, completed between 2007 and 2009. Lastly, Somaiah completed an Accounting Designation in Accounting and Finance from the Certified General Accountants Association, between 2011 and 2014.
