Cheryl Jones is an experienced professional with a diverse background. Cheryl began their career in 2006 as a Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Redeemer Lutheran Preschool. In 2008, they transitioned to the role of Insurance Sales Producer at Virgil McLagan Insurance Agency, where they worked until 2011. During this time, Cheryl also pursued their passion for art and owned an Artful Framing and Design business called "You've Been Framed...by the Jones'."
In 2010, Cheryl became a Board Member at Camp STIX Diabetes Programs, where they served until 2013. Cheryl then moved on to work as a Fundraising Coordinator at Clothes for the Cause from 2013 to 2016, helping organizations raise funds through clothing drives. In 2015, they took on the role of Regional Manager Inland Northwest at Clothes for the Cause Fundraising, managing strategic planning and logistics for community fundraising events.
In 2011, Cheryl joined Allstate as an Allstate Insurance Sales Producer, specializing in various insurance lines. Cheryl'sresponsibilities included evaluating and tailoring insurance plans to meet the needs of clients in Washington and Idaho. Cheryl remained at Allstate until 2023.
Cheryl's most recent work experience includes roles at Sparus Holdings and Southern Cross Corporation. At Sparus Holdings, they served as a Talent Acquisition Specialist starting in 2016. Since 2019, Cheryl has been with Southern Cross Corporation, initially as an Account Executive and Products Distribution Manager for the USA and Canada. In this position, they built business relationships and partnered with utilities for the distribution of products and services. Over time, Cheryl took on additional responsibilities, including contract negotiation, safety, strategic planning, project management, and project completion. Cheryl continues to hold this position.
Throughout their career, Cheryl has demonstrated their expertise in talent acquisition, sales, fundraising, and management. Cheryl is an AIRS Certified CIR and PRC, showcasing their commitment to professional development in their field.
Cheryl Jones completed their education in a chronological order. Cheryl first attended Clackamas High School from 1986 to 1987, where they pursued General Studies. Afterward, they enrolled at University High School from 1987 to 1990 and obtained a degree in General Studies. Following this, they attended Spokane Falls Community College from 1990 to 1992, earning an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Banking and Financial Support Services. Lastly, from 2004 to 2006, they attended Washington State Family Care Resources, where they received an AA degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching.
