Jol R.

Jol R. has worked in the IT industry since 1997. Jol began their career at Thomson Financial as a Senior Support Analyst, where they gained experience in helpdesk, desktop and troubleshooting support. In 2000, they moved to Common Purpose as an IT Support Manager, where they were responsible for the administration of servers and network infrastructure, planning and delivering technical projects, and managing the IT engineer. In 2003, they took on the role of IT Manager and Operational Head of IT at Stone King, where they had overall responsibility for leading on the IT strategy, budget, infrastructure and team servicing 170 staff over four locations. In 2013, they moved to Whale and Dolphin Conservation as an IT Manager, where they managed the global IT strategy and infrastructure for the leading charity in cetacean conservation. Finally, since 2016, they have been working at Sparx Learning as an IT & Cyber Security Manager and IT Manager, heading up the IT department and managing a team of engineers who maintain and develop the in-house IT systems.

Jol R. attended Arthur Mellows Village College from 1986 to 1993 and obtained A Levels in Maths (A), Physics (A) and Chemistry (B).
