Carol Splaine

Senior Business Analyst/Scrum Master at Spatial Front, Inc

Carol Splaine has extensive work experience dating back to 1986. Carol began their career at General Electric as a Senior Engineer. From 1993 to 1998, Carol worked as a Senior Technical Support Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation, where they managed technical and customer support efforts for networking products. Carol then moved on to IronBridge Networks, where they served as a Senior SQA Engineer, providing software quality support for an ISP-class router. Carol's next role was at Appian Communications, where they worked as a Senior SQA Engineer, developing software automation scripts and tools for a metro edge optical switch.

In 2002, Carol joined URS Corporation as a Senior Programmer Analyst/Supervisor, leading a SQA project for a web-based traffic management system. Carol later transitioned to AECOM, where they worked as a Senior Programmer Analyst/Supervisor from 2006 to 2015.

From 2015 to 2021, Carol worked at Strongbridge LLC as a Senior Business Analyst/Program Manager, contributing to a mission-critical information system that supports the National Highway Safety Transportation Administration (NHTSA) in reducing vehicle fatalities and injuries. In their role, they were responsible for defining, collecting, and translating business requirements into functional documentation.

Carol's most recent position is as a Senior Business Analyst/Scrum Master at Spatial Front, Inc, which they started in 2021. In this role, they continue to support the NHTSA's efforts and is experienced in serving as a Product Owner and facilitating scrum activities.

Carol Splaine attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. From 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master's degree in Software Engineering at Brandeis University. In 2010, Carol received a Master's Certificate in Business Analysis from Villanova.
