Cory Utter is a highly experienced wildlife rehabilitation professional with over eight years in the field, currently serving as the Senior Wildlife Rehabilitation Technician at The SPCA for Monterey County since February 2015. Prior roles include Animal Admissions Representative and Animal Rescue Responder at the Hawaiian Humane Society from April 2013 to September 2014, as well as an Apprentice Aquarist at Sea Life Park Hawai'i from July 2012 to April 2013. Additionally, Cory gained valuable experience as an Animal Research and Care Intern at the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a brief period in 2011. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Technology, and Policy from California State University, Monterey Bay, and an Associate of Arts degree from Orange Coast College.

The SPCA is not a chapter of any other agency and does not have a parent organization. They shelter homeless, neglected and abused pets and livestock, and provide humane education and countless other services to the community. They are the local agency you call to investigate animal cruelty, rescue and rehabilitate injured wildlife, and aid domestic animals in distress.
