Thomas Barcia is the Clinical Director of our W 44th Street location. Tom earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Tom’s clinical experience includes orthopedics, chronic pain management, sports rehabilitation, acute rehabilitation, and neurological rehabilitation. Tom had the opportunity to train with a manual fellow during his orthopedic rotation, which allowed him to further enhance his manual therapy skills and techniques.
Aside from physical therapy, Tom has experience working as an athletic trainer covering a wide variety of sporting events from youth to adult leagues. During his undergraduate he gained experience working with the Women’s and Men’s Division 1 athletes at Sacred Heart in the prevention, acute care management and rehabilitation of injuries.
Tom enjoys treating various orthopedic and sports injuries for those of all ages. He values a holistic approach and prides himself in making relationships that go beyond a pathology in getting to know each one of his patients. He enjoys taking post-graduate continuing education courses to further enhance his ability to use evidence-based practice into the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal injuries. Tom enjoys helping others to live optimally, reach their goals, and improve their overall health and wellness.
