Karen Chung is the CEO and founder of Special Learning. Karen has over 20 years of experience in business and operations management.

Karen Chung began their career in 1990 as an Operations Accountant for ServiceMaster. Karen then spent two years as a Sales Director for IBM CS Systems. In 1996, they became the Director of Operations for Sammons Preston, where they were responsible for inside sales, international sales organizations, and quality assurance.

In 1998, Karen Chung left Sammons Preston to become the Executive Director of the Midwest Region for Inc. Eagles CEO. In this role, they provided executive coaching and management consulting services for CEO's and President's of large corporations in the healthcare, higher education, and manufacturing industries.

In 2000, Karen Chung founded Nomadic Consulting, Inc., a business planning, marketing, and investment services firm specializing in Strategic Partner Alignment (SPA). Karen served as the company's CEO and Managing Director for 10 years before leaving to start Special Learning in 2010.

Karen Chung has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Management from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Karen is also a Certified Public Accountant and has received the Elijah Watt Sells Award from the American Institute of CPAs.
