Lauryn Haas is a marketing and communications professional currently serving as the Manager of Marketing & Communications at Special Olympics Illinois since September 2021, having previously held the position of Coordinator in the same department. Prior experience includes a role as a Claim Associate at State Farm from June 2020 to August 2021, and various positions at Four Seasons Health Club, where responsibilities ranged from Club Supervisor to Juice Bar Attendant. Lauryn also gained experience as a PR/Marketing Intern at Eye Surgical Associates and as a Marketing Intern at Epiphany Catholic School, as well as a Public Affairs Intern at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center. Lauryn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Illinois State University.

Special Olympics is financially sound with diverse revenue streams, a thorough annual budget process and increasing organizational revenue streams. Special Olympics Illinois does not charge athletes or their families to participate in the program. OUR MISSION Provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
