Ryan Platts

Ryan Platts is a marketing and communications executive at Special Olympics Ireland since January 2023, with prior experience as an executive officer in advertising for the Irish National Teachers' Organisation from June 2021 to January 2023. In this role, Ryan promoted advertising opportunities and monitored relevant conditions across the education sector. Ryan's career includes content creation for publications as a clerical officer with the same organization and magazine editing and visual design as part of the graduate programme at Fingal County Council. Previous experiences also include a journalism internship at Hot Press and assisting in library services and research for the Law Society of Ireland. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Journalism from Dublin City University and a Master’s in Library and Information Studies from University College Dublin, along with various professional diplomas and training in project management and public relations.
