John Lair

John Lair has been working in the social services field for over 25 years. John started their career as a case load manager at New Hope Services of Pittsburg in 1994. In 1999, they became the psychological director at Shields Adult Care Home and oversaw behavioral management and IQ tests for residents. In 2001, they returned to New Hope Services of Pittsburg as executive director, where they oversaw the care of residents with HCBS ID/DD. In April 2017, John became the President/CEO of Special Olympics Kansas.

John Lair received their undergraduate degree in therapeutic recreation/recreational therapy from Pittsburg State University. John then went on to earn their master's degree in psychology from Missouri Southern State University.
