Terrence Thornton

Terrence Thornton is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in nonprofit management and community development. Currently serving as the President and CEO of Special Olympics Nevada since March 2019, Terrence oversees vital services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and implements essential business processes to safeguard against fraud and record inaccuracies. Previously, as Vice President of Investor Services & Development for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance from January 2013 to February 2019, Terrence enhanced the organization's budget from $1.3 million to $4 million and fostered community partnerships. Earlier roles include Fundraising Coordinator and Financial Coordinator at the Nevada Development Authority, as well as educational positions as an Administrative Assistant and Substitute Teacher with the Clark County School District. Terrence holds a Master's in Non-Profit Management from Walden University and a Bachelor's in University Studies from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
