Amanda Dimech (Farrugia) is a seasoned professional in the field of sports and education, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at MCAST since September 2016, where Amanda lectures on sport units. Additionally, Amanda holds the position of Team Manager for the Women’s National Team at the Malta Football Association since August 2020 and has been the Head Coach for Athletics at Special Olympics Malta since June 2013. With extensive experience as a Fitness Instructor at FIT Blast and as a Certified Athletic Trainer, Amanda specializes in coaching athletics and enhancing sports performance. As a Private Tutor for Sports4u and a teacher at the Convent of the Sacred Heart since September 2010, Amanda engages with students of various ages in physical education. Amanda’s educational background includes a PhD in Sport Psychology and Inclusive Physical Education from the University of Birmingham, an MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology from Staffordshire University, and a Bachelor of Education in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from the University of Malta. Amanda also has a creative side, serving as the Lead Singer for RiSE since 2010.
