Chief, Leadership & Organizational Development - Global at Special Olympics

Emily Klinger is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and organizational development within the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as the Chief of Leadership & Organizational Development at Special Olympics since January 2012, Emily leads a global team dedicated to training, disability inclusion, and organizational change. Previous roles at Special Olympics include Vice President and Director positions focused on leadership development programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in over 220 country and state programs. Prior to this, Emily held positions at the Peace Corps, implementing significant programs and developing training for grant coordinators, as well as serving as a Special Education Volunteer. Emily's early career includes teaching special education in Chicago Public Schools and serving as a leadership consultant with Kappa Kappa Gamma. Emily holds a Master’s degree in International Training and Education from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.
