Special Olympics Global Faculty Advisor For Healthy Athletes at Special Olympics

Jim Blair currently serves as a member of the WHO Europe Advisory Group on Disability and Health, focusing on the health and well-being of individuals with learning disabilities. In addition, Jim holds the position of Trustee at the Learning Disability London Network and acts as a Global Faculty Advisor for Healthy Athletes at Special Olympics. As Learning Disability Nursing Advisor for the Labour Party, collaboration occurs with key colleagues to integrate nursing-related issues for individuals with learning disabilities into policy. As an Independent Consultant Nurse Learning Disabilities with West London NHS Trust, Jim provides expert advice on care and treatment for this population and also serves as a Registrant Panel Member for The Nursing and Midwifery Council. In ongoing roles with NHS England and DanceSyndrome, Jim contributes to health improvement and promotes advocacy. Additionally, Jim is an Associate Professor at Kingston University and has held various educational roles since 1997. Educational credentials include advanced degrees from Kingston University, the University of Greenwich, and London South Bank University.
