David Thompson

David Thompson is an accomplished industrial designer with extensive experience in the action sports industry, currently serving as the Lead Industrial Designer for Mountain Bikes at Specialized Bicycle Components since July 2023. Previously, David held significant roles at Giro Sport Design, including Industrial Design Manager and Senior Industrial Designer, where notable achievements included managing the snow line and reinventing design language, which revitalized the Giro snow category. David's career in design began as a Junior Industrial Designer at Easton Bell Sports, followed by various internships and freelance projects, culminating in a solid foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from The Art Institute of California - Orange County.
