David Wood

David Wood is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations management and leadership across multiple sectors, including the cycling industry and military service. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Operations for North America at Specialized Bicycle Components since November 2019, David oversees operations while also holding the role of Executive Director at Outride, which focuses on the social and cognitive benefits of cycling. David's military background includes various positions in the United States Marine Corps, where strategic and logistic responsibilities were key, including service as the S5 Strategy and Plans Officer for the Marine Innovation Unit and Battalion Executive Officer for Combat Logistics Battalion 23. David has also contributed to education and youth development through roles at Vanderbilt University and the Specialized Foundation. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Vanderbilt University and multiple advanced military training courses.
