Jorge Mendes is an experienced professional in the field of engineering and production management, currently serving as R&D Production Manager and Engineering Manager at Specialized Bicycle Components since August 2020. In this role, Jorge leads factory operations and has successfully managed the setup of a prototype tire factory in Germany. Prior to this, Jorge worked at Faurecia as a Capital and Investment Coordinator, optimizing CAPEX and OPEX processes across European plants. At Continental, Jorge held the positions of Product Industrialization Engineer and Technician, leading product launches and optimizing costs. Jorge holds a Master’s degree in Polymer Engineering from Escola de Engenharia da Universidade do Minho, with a focus on rubber compound characterization and rheological study.
