Sandy Gilchrist

Sandy Gilchrist is a highly experienced professional bicycle mechanic with a career spanning several decades, beginning at British Cycling from 1988 to 2008, where notable achievements included serving as Head Mechanic for Olympic and Paralympic teams at multiple Games. Sandy has provided expert mechanical support for various prestigious events, including Mountain Bike World Cups, Track World Cups, and World Championships, and has contributed to the success of Specialized Bicycle Components and Cycling Ireland since 2005 and 2010, respectively. In addition, Sandy operates as a Cycling Expert Witness, preparing reports and providing court testimony related to cycling incidents. Previous roles include ownership of Sandy Gilchrist Cycles and serving as National Team Manager for Scottish Cycling, demonstrating a breadth of leadership and mechanical expertise in the cycling domain.
