Currently serving as the Head of Governance and Controls at Specialty MGA UK since March 2025, Wajahat has held significant roles such as Reinsurance / Retakaful Consultant at Fidelity Insurance Brokers, Head of Strategic Initiatives at Salaam Takaful Limited, and Global Head of Underwriting Governance at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. Wajahat has developed and implemented underwriting governance frameworks across various organizations, including AXA XL, Allianz Partners, and EFU General Insurance Ltd, where responsibilities included overseeing underwriting audits and managing teams. Wajahat holds multiple academic qualifications, including an MSc in Insurance & Risk Management from City University Business School and a Postgraduate Diploma in Risk, Crisis & Resilience Management from the University of Portsmouth.
