He Gu

Alex Gu is a highly experienced surgical neurophysiologist, currently employed at SpecialtyCare since June 2015, specializing in intraoperative monitoring (IONM). Prior to this role, Alex served as an Assistant Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Scholar at The University of Iowa Health Care, focusing on neural mechanisms related to post-operative pain and brain aneurysms. Previous experience includes a Postdoctoral Associate position at the University of Central Florida, where Alex conducted research on cardiovascular neuro-control, and a Postdoctoral Scientist role at the University of Southern California, investigating bacterial pathogenesis and inflammatory pathways. Alex's medical training began at China Medical University, culminating in an M.D. degree in Clinical Medicine, followed by significant clinical experience in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at The First Hospital of China Medical University.
