Fortunato Ferrara is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of molecular biology and cancer research. Currently serving as the Vice President of Discovery at Specifica, Inc. since August 2016, Ferrara previously held roles as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico and as an Associate Research Scientist at the New Mexico Consortium. Ferrara's research has focused on antibody engineering, with a significant project involving the development of a high-throughput pipeline for antibody selection. Earlier career positions include a postdoctoral fellowship at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where Ferrara developed new biotechnologies for detecting tuberculosis, as well as lecturing positions at the University of New Mexico in courses on Biology and Microbiology. Fortunato Ferrara earned a PhD in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Università degli Studi di Trieste between 1998 and 2009.
