Martin Porter has a diverse work experience spanning across several companies. From 2019 to present, they have been serving as the Head of Digital Operations & Analysis at Specsavers, where they oversee the operations of the Digital value streams and introduces the Operations function into the Digital team. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2019, Martin worked at Dyson in various roles such as Global Programme Head - Data Driven Marketing, Senior Product Owner, and Head of Content, where they were responsible for planning and delivering creative content and e-commerce merchandising for the Dyson Digital Transformation programme. Martin also has experience at Epoch Design as a Senior Digital Programme Manager and at Imagine Publishing as the Head of Digital, leading strategy and planning for the magazine and digital publisher. Martin started their career at Dunwoody Marketing as a Digital Manager/Software Lead, managing a team of developers and leading the development of company solutions. Between 2006 and 2014, they worked at Moore-Wilson New Media Ltd as the Digital Operations Director, managing staff and overseeing operations.
Martin Porter has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The Open University, which they completed from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc Hons in Interactive Media from the University of Wolverhampton between 1995 and 1999. Martin also holds a BSc in Applied Software Engineering from Birmingham City University, earned from 1988 to 1992. Their secondary education took place at Longcroft School from 1981 to 1988. In addition to their degrees, Martin has obtained various certifications in fields such as Lean Six Sigma, IT Service Management, DevOps, Agile Business Analysis, and Scrum.
