Niels Topp Braae

Niels Topp Braae currently serves as the Head of Technology Strategy & Security for Northern Europe at Specsavers, a position held since June 2020, where responsibilities include expanding the technology strategy to encompass data strategy and information security. Prior to this role, Niels was the Head of Technology Strategy & Design at Specsavers from April 2014 to December 2019, leading the technology strategy and overseeing IT budgets. Earlier experience includes roles as Head of IT Change Delivery at Specsavers, Regional IT Director at Atkins, and IT-systemchef at Danmarks Apotekerforening. Niels began a career in IT as a system developer at Nextus and worked as an IT-medarbejder at Transcom A/S. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Psychology from the University of Copenhagen, complemented by various training in leadership, project management, and IT governance.
