Erlendur Steinn Gudnason has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2000, they founded Islandsvefir ehf., a company focused on an intelligent approach to the Internet. Erlendur Steinn served as the CEO until 2002. From 2002 to 2012, Erlendur worked at Siminn (Iceland Telecom), where they initially managed the EVE Online Support Unit and later became the Director of Fixed Line Services and Director of Value Added Systems.
Following their time at Siminn, Erlendur held various positions. Erlendur Steinn was the Chairman of the Board at Kolibri from 2012 to 2015 and a Deputy Board Member at Vodafone Iceland from 2013 to 2014. Erlendur Steinn co-founded Vizido in 2016, where they served as the COO until 2019. Erlendur was also a Board Member at Hugsmiðjan from 2018 to 2020.
In 2015, they became a Deputy Board Member at Sendafelagid ehf., a company managing the sharing of RAN and telecom network infrastructure of Syn hf. (Vodafone Iceland) and Nova in Iceland. Erlendur's most recent roles include being the Co-founder and COO at Sweeply since 2019, and the Partner Director at AwareGO from 2019 to 2022.

Erlendur Steinn Gudnason has a diverse educational background. Erlendur Steinn started their education at Reykjavik College from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a degree in College Graduate in the field of Physics. Afterward, they attended DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 1992 to 1994, focusing on Civil Mechanical Engineering. Moving forward, they enrolled at Háskóli Íslands, where they pursued a B.Sc. in Computer Sciences from 1995 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Erlendur has also obtained certifications in the field of Scrum. In 2007, they became a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance, followed by obtaining the Certified Scrum Product Owner certification in 2008 from the same institution.
