Eric Watson possesses extensive experience in systems engineering, certification, and project management within the aerospace sector. Currently serving as the Head of Systems Engineering, Certification, and System Safety at Zipline since March 2016, Eric has held several leadership roles focused on program management and certification processes. Prior experience includes founding Spectafy Labs, leading innovative product development and raising significant funding, as well as serving as President and Engineer at Watson Engineering and Innovation, where Eric spearheaded notable projects such as Martian lander system design and Earth imaging satellite architecture. Eric's background also includes roles at Stellar Exploration, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and academic experience as a graduate-level lecturer in aerospace engineering. Eric holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from California Polytechnic State University.
