Jim Spedden is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in lending and credit management. Currently serving as Chief Lending Officer at Spectra Credit Union since July 2022, Jim has previously held the position of Chief Lending Officer at Virginia National Bank from April 2021 to April 2022. Prior to that, Jim worked at The Fauquier Bank, now Virginia National Bank, as Chief Credit Officer and Director of Commercial Banking from December 2017 to April 2021. Jim's career includes roles such as Vice President/Team Leader at M&T Bank (September 2014 - December 2017), Senior Vice President at Sandy Spring Bank (April 2013 - September 2014), and Senior Vice President/Market Manager at PNC (June 1999 - April 2013). Early in Jim's career, a tenure at Wachovia from June 1987 to June 1999 culminated in the role of Vice President. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Human Resource Management from the University of Virginia.
