Bogdan Armaselu

Bogdan Armaselu has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Research Assistant in Machine Music Composition at Universitatea Politehnica din Bucuresti. Bogdan conducted research and developed software for music composition algorithms.

In 2011, they worked as a Modeling and Simulation Intern at Institutul de Cerceare-Dezvoltare in Informatica, where they focused on image processing and pattern recognition software using Matlab-Simulink platform.

From 2012 to 2017, Bogdan worked at the University of Texas at Dallas, first as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant and later as a Research Assistant. Bogdan designed algorithms for geometric optimization with applications on GIS and bio-engineering.

In 2017, Bogdan joined SpectralMD, where they started as a Software Engineer. Bogdan worked their way up to become a Senior Software Engineer, and later a Senior Software Engineer III, before taking on the role of Software Engineering Team Lead in October 2022.

Throughout their career, Bogdan has demonstrated a strong technical background and expertise in software engineering and algorithm design.

Bogdan Armaselu completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 2008 to 2012. Bogdan then pursued their Master's Degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas from 2012 to 2015. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas from 2012 to 2017.
