Walter Volberg

Assistant Site Manager at Spectrix Analytical Services

Walter Volberg has over 30 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Walter began their career in 1986 as a Research Scientist at Sterling-Winthrop where they were responsible for electrophysiology support for antiarrhythmic and immunology programs utilizing cardiac myocytes, clonal cell lines and Xenopus oocytes. In 1994, they joined Pfizer as a Senior Research Scientist where they worked for 16 years, utilizing electrophysiology to support drug discovery project teams. In 2013, they moved to Boehringer Ingelheim as a Scientist IV, where they evaluated adverse drug effects on HERG and various other channel types using Axon and HEKA manual patch clamp and automated patch clamp systems, Qpatch and IonWorks. In 2017, they became the Assistant Site Manager at Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC.

Walter Volberg attended The College of Saint Rose from 1987 to 1992, where they earned a MS in Biology. Walter then attended State University of New York at Fredonia from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a BS in Biology.
