Venkat Srinivasan

Venkat Srinivasan has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Venkat started their career at Siemens Ltd India in 1996, where they worked as a Sr Systems Associate. During this time, they were involved in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of data acquisition, monitoring, automation, and control software for the power/process industry. Venkat also had responsibilities in product integration, deployment, and support.

In 1999, Venkat joined Razorfish as a Technical Architect. Here, they designed and developed various web application architectures for clients such as Estee Lauder, Genentech, GE, and Deutsche Bank. Venkat used different technology stacks including Java, Linux, and Solaris.

In 2008, Venkat joined Cisco Systems as a Senior Software Engineer in the Digital Media Systems group. Their initial role involved designing, developing, and delivering features for the Digital Signage product line. Venkat worked with technologies such as J2EE and Spring 3. Venkat held this position until 2012.

From 2012 to 2021, Venkat worked at CliQr Technologies, which was later acquired by Cisco Systems. Venkat started as a Software Architect and led the architecture team for the CliQr product. Their responsibilities included designing, developing, and delivering infrastructure and platform deliverables for the product. Venkat provided support for various cloud providers like AWS, GCP, VMware, and OpenStack.

In 2016, Venkat took on the role of Principal Engineer at Cisco Systems, following the acquisition of CliQr Technologies. In this position, they led the redesign and rearchitecting of the CloudCenter Suite, using a Kubernetes-based deployment platform. The Suite supported multiple cloud deployments of Kubernetes, such as Amazon EKS, Google GKE, and Azure AKS.

Most recently, in 2021, Venkat joined Spectro Cloud as an engineer.

Venkat Srinivasan attended Ramjas School from 1980 to 1991. Venkat did not obtain a degree or specialize in any specific field of study during this time. Following their schooling, Venkat pursued further education at JNNCE, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication from 1991 to 1995.
