Andrew Palmer is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the semiconductor and opto-electronic industries. Currently serving as the MOVPE and Wafer Fab Equipment Engineering Manager at Spectrolab since July 2009, Andrew has held various roles including MOVPE Equipment Engineering Manager and Development Engineer focusing on MOVPE/MOCVD processes. Prior experience includes MOCVD Engineer at Emcore, where responsibilities included operating and maintaining thin film epitaxy reactors, and Sr. Process Engineer at Arlon MED, where process and product specifications were established and technical troubleshooting was provided. Additionally, Andrew worked as a Project Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, testing naval weapon systems, and as Equipment Engineer at Tecstar Inc., managing reactor upgrade projects and analyzing product performance data. Andrew holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, earned between 1996 and 2001.
