Barbara Burns

Barbara Burns is an experienced social worker with a diverse background in social services and human resources. Currently serving as a Social Worker at Spectrum Health & Human Services since December 2022, Barbara has previously held positions at General Motors, where roles included Employee Relations Investigator and Labor Relations Representative, contributing to employee relations and coaching in manufacturing environments. Barbara's earlier experience includes providing case management and counseling for individuals living with HIV at Lifespan, managing a bilingual behavioral health day treatment program at Lake Shore Behavioral Health, and supervising case management staff for refugee resettlement services at the International Institute of Buffalo. Barbara holds a Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Mount Union.
